April 2015

Okay friends, time for a reality check. I am not the photographer around here, Daddy is. But Daddy was out of town for part of April and took pictures of astronaut stuff and a big aquarium while he was gone. When he got back he gave the younger ones little toys shaped like an astronaut and a rocket. And then Anna's eyes started glowing like fire. Or maybe that was just the flash....

You may now make fun of me for having only one photo from this precious month of their lives. Alas!

March 2015

Flexing our amazing muscles.

Cozy reading time.

Sucking the marrow (read: frosting) out of life.

February 2015

The blasts from the past continue....

The good little worker "beens" filled up a jar of chores and good deeds. Time for some fro-yo!!

Rocking the car museum in Tacoma.

Playing so hard in the cute little bear suit we just couldn't take it any more.

Working on the monster cave.

January 2015

Welcome back, everybody. It's 2016, time to get my life together. Here are some posts on 2015. No farther back, there's only so much I can handle.
January was awesome. Here are the highlights:

Admiring the finest airplane ever built.

Getting ambushed by a guy with a camera.

Dressing up and being cute.

Dressing up and acting CRAZY!

Hanging with Grandma during her brief swing through our time zone.

How timely

I made pumpkin pie with a friend tonight. We used How To Cook Everything by Mark Bittman. I was utterly disappointed. It took ages to set up, and was all custard, no pumpkin. I'm going back to Joy of Cooking.

What your mother has been doing for thirty years is sometimes exactly right, and does not need some hip young guy to improve upon it. That is a lesson for life. Especially when when you're going back to is heavy cream and brown sugar. How could I have doubted?

Alas

If only I weren't in charge of the church nursery. And had no children. And no end of money.

Then I'd spend every single weekend paddling the San Juans and eating, eating, eating, with these fine people.

Alas, I fear heaven will have to wait until the actual afterlife.

Romney or Huntsman?

I'm a good LDS woman. Behind whom am I throwing my support in 2012?

Um, in case you haven't been paying any attention at all, I'm a democrat. Born and bred.

Not that I think President Obama is perfect, or that none of the republican candidates might be okay. Maybe it's just habit, but the republican base scares the heck out of me. Luckily most of them still think we're a cult and wouldn't elect an LDS guy if you paid them. Thank heaven for small favors.
